Locals call it Plett. Plettenberg Bay is a Garden Route town framed by long beaches, indigenous forest, and a hard Atlantic horizon. Two anchor beaches define the bay. Keurbooms to the north has a calm, blue lagoon. Robberg Peninsula to the south rises in cliffs and broken rock. After the beach, drive to Knysna for a lagoon cruise or continue to Mossel Bay for a round of golf with views.
